From July 2018, the Tygerberg Hospital Division of Orthopaedics, in collaboration with our secondary hospitals, will initiate a self-funded medical officer supernumerary programme that enables individuals from Africa to enroll in our registrar preparation programme.

The medical officers will receive high quality orthopaedic training at these institutions with the aim of enrollment as a supernumerary orthopaedic registrar at the Tygerberg Division of Orthopaedics and Stellenbosch University after 1-2 years.
